We are now looking for a Lead Engineer – Vehicle Electrical Architecture High Voltage System

 

Description

The Electrical Architecture department that you will be part of, is part of an organization responsible for Electrical- and Mechanical Integration & Design, within NEVS R&D.

You will be a part of a team of engineers, with responsibility for the complete Vehicle Electrical Architecture including general electrical requirement, function design, electrical interfaces physical and logical and electrical integration.

A High Voltage System Architect collaborates with a broad network of engineers in other departments as well as within the Electrical Architecture team to ensure a good vehicle level architecture of the complete functional content of the vehicle. The main focus of the high voltage system is the electric drivetrain and the re-chargeable energy storage system but may also include other component such as on-board charger, electric AC compresser.

 

The role as a High Voltage System Architect involves:

  • Drive and coordinate the design of the high voltage electrical system to optimize the system balancing performance, function and cost
  • Act as an expert on HV systems and support component owners for HV components with architectural issues
  • Ensuring that the design is aligned with other areas and following the architecture requirements
  • Drive and participate in different fora related to the electrical architecture
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ways-of-working for related processes

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience from designing HV systems for Electric Vehicles
  • Good understanding of HV battery technologies and other HV components
  • Experience from electronics and software development in the automotive industry
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
  • Driver license B
